the art style is a lot of Kobayashi Osamu’s kinda thing. He’s the director of this and other shows he’s done that use the same type of art style and rotoscoping are Paradise kiss and Beck. While it does take some getting used to i think it adds a but more of a realistic feel. the scenery feels much more realistic, at least imo. I liked what i saw of these first two episodes and while it’s slowly paced they also got to the point fairly quickly and i wasn’t bored while watching this show.

For a moment there, I thought it was the final episode!

It took a while to believe that Naoki was being that…um, nice. Like you said, we only assumed he liked her and never was shown that he did, so it was a bit weird seeing him propose and talk about his feelings.

But now that they’re a married couple, I’m excited to see what troubles they’ll face.

I didn’t like Sheryl’s voice that much at first. She sounds like she’s trying to sound like Ayumi Hamasaki(which I guess would work since Hamasaki is HUGE) But it grows on you and the songs are good. It is hard to compare Sheryl and Ranka. Their voices are completely opposite and not even within the same vocal range.

@blissmo: Agreed. I liked the artwork from the manga a lot more from the manga than the anime. It lacked a certain charm that the manga had.

Hmm, Someday’s Dreamers was nice, but there isn’t really anything besides the artwork and music that stands out. The slice-of-life is the boring slice-of-life to me

Alto, you da’ man! Was it a rip, or were the animators once again showing the Japanese tradition of not reusing footage, rather remaking the scene every time they need it again? ZERO’S ENDING WAS SAD! I ALMOST CRIED! And, finally; RANKA AND ALTO!

@Jobrill: Agree with you on the being tired of the “will they or won’t they” card. There are definitely good shows like that out there, but it gets tiresome when nearly everything in the genre follows that formula.
