I like Nobunaga’s taste in seiyuu. Nanami proves once again, she is awesome. Cheers to whoever came up with the idea of having an Ueda Kana voiced character imitate and promote Ueda Kana.
That giggle is so intoxicating.
Ueda Kana seriously adds that extra notch to practically every character she voices. She’s voiced some pretty prominant characters in the past, but when she’s voicing someone who isn’t in the spotlight as much, her voice brings that character into the forefront. For instance, we have Stekkin in Pumpkin Scissors, Ringo in Angelic Layer, Kinon in Gurren Lagann, or Sakuya in Hayate no Gotoku. Each of those characters has a certain aura about them, like there is just bit more attitude, wit, and confidence than should be there. Even main characters that she has voiced have this feel to them–like a charm that a certain voice instills. That Ueda Kana magic is there so far in Telepathy Shoujo Ran and it’s here in Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu.

Matsuki Miyu needs to forever voice wacky teachers. And nekomimi meidos.
She actually doesn’t do it that often, but seems like every other character Nabatame Hitomi voices is a beer keg. She does a damn good job at it, but there are times when I miss characters like Feena-sama or Kikyou Kiri. At least there is yuri twincest!

Yuto should have told her to Wiki it. For being an otaku, Haruka sure is naive. And also, for being super (book) smart, she acts pretty airheaded. Part of me is waiting for her to ask someone, “What is moe?” while radiating it, head tilt and all. She might have to turn in her anime card if she asks that though.
Alright, what’s the deal with this girl? Can we introduce her into the story already? Even before hearing the preview for episode 5, I was already guessing that she would be Yuto’s next harem member, Haruka’s rival, the other angle of the love triangle, or some combination of those. It’s practically solidified with a transfer student popping in next episode. As if there series needed anymore spicing up. There goddess Haruka, two meidos, and the ultimate imouto. I’m good to go with just that.
Haruka needs to sport Aria Company’s summer uniform next time.
Haruka cosplay needs to happen more often. A MariMite cosplay needs to happen. Haruka already has Shimako’s hair… and the voice of course. Yet after the roar of laughter died down and Ueda Kana was doing some self-promotion, I was wondering why Shana and not another Noto kawaii yo Noto character. Can’t complain though, because random references, parody, and homages are always entertaining. I’m just one for seiyuu jokes, but a Hecate cosplay would have been pretty awkward and impractical. Oh so awesome, but Hecate in stalker mode would be tripping over those robes. Maybe a Witchblade or Mnemosyne cosplay for Haruka when she goes to Comiket. Reptilian brain wishful thinking, I know!

So, what was the purpose of this episode? Why exactly was Hazuki out and about during this episode? Imouto X Meido underwear shopping, Haruka wedding photos, and a second fated encounter… yet no explanation about WHY Hazuki was out or why everyone was tailing her. So Hazuki likes Doom and Resident Evil 4 and went to get a new chainsaw… What about all the stuff before? Inquiring minds want to know.
