Clannad: Tomoyo Edition’s Trailer Streamed
Alternate-world episode previewed in May screening before July DVD releaseThe official Japanese website for the television anime adaptation of Key’s Clannad visual novel franchise has posted a 30-second trailer for the Clannad: Tomoyo-Hen (Clannad: Tomoyo Edition) episode. The episode is set in “another world” separate from the storyline of the original 23-episode slice-of-life series. The producers held a preview theatrical screening of this episode for 400 randomly selected fans on May 31, and the episode will ship in the eighth volume of the Japanese DVDs on July 16.
Tomoyo may have gotten snubbed for the most part in Clannad, but at least now she gets an OVA episode. I don’t really know what to expect of this, but if it follows suit like the other 23 episodes of Clannad, it should be quite entertaining. I liked Tomoyo and it’s nice to see more Clannad, but I’d rather be hearing about After Story news. More Clannad is a good thing, yes, but someone wake me up when After Story starts airing.

As much as I love Tomoyo, I don’t want the sadness I got from the Tomoyo After game…
So lets pray that the OVA ends with Tomoya graduating.
Tomoyo had one of the better routes in the CLANNAD game, and at first I thought it would be something about it, but after reading the “another world” part, I thought of “Tomoyo After: It’s a Wonderful Life” game. But they’re still in school {in the preview}, and the game takes place after it…
Anyway, I like Tomoyo and will definately watch it! ^_^ Though, I do wish it was Kyou!
