When real life attacks

Well, this is the longest Tea Shop BeLoved has gone without a post since I was on vacation last summer. And I’m sure some out there (probably 3 people, if the planets are aligned right) are burning to know why.

Put simply, there is a lot of real life stuff going on that has kept me away from writing. Nothing at all troubling thankfully, but in fact, the opposite. I am planing to go back to school (as if someone with a MA needs more school), so basically I need to start getting things together now. It has been almost 2 years since I was in a classroom as a graduate student, so there is a lot to do. I also work full-time, thus most of my waking hours are spent at work or commuting. Hence, the wackiness.

Unfortunately, anime and manga are the ones taking the hit. Some people give up sleep, but anime had to hit the cutting board. I have not even touched any of the new spring season yet other than Macross Frontier and Itazura na Kiss. I am slowly catching up with the leftovers from winter and last fall as well, but am still behind… _|-|O…

So yeah, I am not going anywhere, but probably for the remainder of the month, things will be slow around here. There will be a few posts for sure, but not as frequent as usual. Things should start settling down by the end of the month, so activity will pick up around that time. Until then!

And for the loyal… some Feena and Mai love for you. :D

  4. Are you going for a PhD somewhere? Either way, if you can afford it in terms of money, time and all of that, more education is a good thing. Good luck. :3

  5. @DQ: If they are psychology or social science classes, I’ll take them for free!

    @tim: Thanks!

    @53rg10: I’m going back to get a teaching credential, so it will be full-time focused on that. Though, I am debating taking a couple courses of the summer to help with some general purpose tests I have to take later in the summer and in the fall.

    @TheBigN: A couple years ago I was shooting for the PhD, but not so much anymore. It’s not 100% out of the question, but for right now I am good to go without it. I do have a number of friends currently in doctorate programs though.
