Nanoha Figma out in May.

As I have mentioned in the past, I am not too big on Max Factory’s Figma line. It is not that I do not think they look good (in fact, I think all of them look outstanding), but the fact remains that the joints are still there and are still very noticeable. I would rather have higher quality static figures instead of something movable that will pretty much just stay in the same position after less than a week. But that is just my take on them–really pretty action figures.
Yet, despite my lack of interest in Max Factory’s Figma line in general, I do like how their Nanoha looks (the Fate one looks even better). It is far from Good Smile Company, Alter, or Movic’s A’s figures, but it is definitely looking better than Movic’s StrikerS Nanoha. I have seen some of the videos of other Figmas and their movability, so Nanoha should prove to be entertaining. The actual look of the figure is pretty good as well. Her faces look fairly active, akin to GSC’s two other Nanoha figures. Her barrier jacket and hair also look well made. Call me demanding, but I personally would have preferred Exceed Mode over her StrikerS default Aggressive/Aggressor Mode. I just have never liked that version of her Barrier Jacket.
The one concern I have are the Flier Fins. I own 4 Nanoha figure and the Flier Fins are hands down, the most annoying aspect on all of them. GSC’s fins are the bulkiest, but never fully stay secure (I have heard otherwise though). Alter’s Flier Fins are just plain flimsy–they fall out with even the slightest touch are a constructed so delicately that I do not want to handle them often. Considering that a Figma is meant to be moved, I really hope those can be secured in there tightly. And from the promo shots, they look to be removable. Thank goodness GSC’s upcoming StrikerS Nanoha figure will be Flier Fin-less.
The deluge of StrikerS figures continues! Figma Nanoha is out this May at the cheap retail price of 2,800 yen. Now I twiddle my thumbs in anticipation of the Fate figma to be made available for pre-order. I will be having caramelldansen Nanoha and Fate on my desk in no time.

“Why don’t you cool your head a bit?”

wow, she looks great. I think for my first figma i might go for the new Vocaloid figma. I love how she looks, and at least the figmas aren’t expesive ciompared to how expensive figures have been in general lately. I agree i would have prefered exceed mode, she looks much mroe badass that way, but oh well..
