Five figures that need to be made

Danny Choo is currently running a poll asking readers and fans what figures they would like to see from Good Smile Company. Dancing Queen wrote a post about this topic a couple weeks back and we’ve talked about this on a number of occasion, but I thought I’d chime in on it. There are a handful of characters who have not received the PVC treatment or have received very poor treatments. I’m sure Danny (and GSC) would appreciate your feedback. For some odd reason, I can’t leave a comment on that post, no matter how many times I’ve tried. I even tried using IE for the first time in years… but with no success. I know there are probably other characters I’d love to see PVC’d, but these (in particular the first 4) are ones that I’ve been hoping for for a long while now. Here’s my request to Good Smile Company.
Drum roll…

Yagami Hayate (Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha)
Nanoha has like 5 figures and Fate has 4 figures. Signum, Subaru, Teana, and even Small Boss have figures out or out in the next few months. Hayate? None. I’m sure I’m not the only person seeing the problem with that. Other than Nanoha and Fate, Hayate was the main character in Nanoha A’s. Heck, you can argue easily that Hayate was the primary focus on Nanoha A’s. Alter, Good Smile Company, and Movic jumped on that series. Both Nanoha and Fate got a mess of different figures out of it, yet Hayate has a “DNP - Coach’s decision” next to her name for some reason. I’ve been ranting about there not being a Hayate figure for far too long–it just needs to happen already. I’ll take StrikerS Hayate, loli Hayate, Riot Force 6 Hayate, Barrier Jacket Hayate, Unison Hayate, Wheelchair Hayate, whatever… Make it so. Good Smile Company has already done a couple Nanoha figures (including the best Nanoha figures available) and a pretty decent Fate figure, so they’ve got some experience to work with.

Minase Nayuki (Kanon)
There are some Nayuki figures out there, none of which I think look that good. Max Factory already has a couple good looking figures of both Ayu and Makoto, and Kotobukiya has a decent looking Mai figure, but Nayuki has yet to receive anything worthwhile. For some reason there are a mess of Mai figures out there and there are a few other Ayu figures, but not even a decent Nayuki. I guess I shouldn’t complain because Shiori and everyone else has been neglected. I can only hope that Max Factory will be continuing their string of Kanon figures and bring out Nayuki next.

Alice Carroll (Aria)
Well, really I’d love to see Good Smile Company do the rest of the Aria cast. Their Alicia figure is awesome, so I’d love to see more of that. Yujin and Beat have all done a handful of Aria figures (and of Alice), but I’ve never been a fan of those figures. If Good Smile Company would continue making Aria figures of the same or better quality as their Alicia figure, I’m sure many fans would be applauding them. Aria is airing again… great time to get more quality figures produced.

Katsura Hinagiku (Hayate no Gotoku)
Hina-chan~ No explanations necessary. I’m sure Zyl would concur–Hinagiku is awesome. Requesting stripped socks and hi-tops.

Aoyama Motoko (Love Hina)
A quick Google search for “Aoyama Motoko figure” yields nothing but a handful of old and/or poorly made figures. Off the top of my head, the only worthwhile Love Hina PVC that was ever done was the highly coveted Max Factory 1/8 Naru. Naru rightfully so has a figure to call her own, but I’m sure a Motoko figure would sell just as well. Girl with sword… Questions? Or Max Factory could just re-release their 1/8 Naru figure for us poor souls who never had a chance to own one…
Honorable mentions:
Sakurazaki Setsuna (Negima)
Kawazoe Tamaki (Bamboo Blade)
Amamiya Yuko (ef)
Shindo Chihiro (ef)
Touka (Utawarerumono)
Seto San (Seto no Hanayome)
Any and all Clannad characters
EDIT: And a few more honorable mentions….
Lucy/Nyu (Elfen Lied)
Akihime Sumomo (Nanatsurio Drops) - mahou shoujo version
Ichijo Eika (Sky Girls)
Nono (Top wo Nerae 2) - a good one

yes, yes and more yes! a motoko figure would be amazing as well! looking at the comments that people left danny choo, imo some of them are stupid… like someone asked for Rei and asuka figures. there are like 9 billion figures of them, we don’t need another set from a mediocre series.

Oh my! It’s like you read my mind! Great picks there!
I’d include Mai of Yoakena in there somehow too

Nice list. I also requested figures which were not available yet.

Yes, I second the call for Hayate and Hina-chan! In an ideal world, MaxFac would also release a Signum-neesan figure - the only one I’ve seen, and reviewed by Shingo, was rather underwhelming.
Where did you get the Hina pic from BTW? Is it screencapped from a particular episode?

@DQ: There are plenty of Eva figures out there, good and bad.
@Stripey: I second that Mai idea! I always liked Feena more though, and am looking forward to MF’s figure in a few months.
@Danny: Thank you for putting up the request from GSC! It’s great that they want to know what fan (and not just buyers) want made.
@Zyl: I considered that Signum figure for awhile, but the price and the fact that it’s boring kept me away. She deserves better, but I’m surprised CMs even bothered in the first place. As for the image, I found it on danbooru. I do recall it from an episode, but don’t remember where exactly.
@Emiko: I don’t possess the art of craft skill for a coloring book, so I don’t dare touch garage kits.
I have yet to attempt Gundam models out of fear of screwing up badly.

The Love Hina “Skyluv project” figure of Motoko wasn’t too shabby, the whole series came with some rather unusual accessories and did a good job of conveying the characters.
