Good Lucky Star remixes… and JAM Project?

Can you even put JAM Project and Lucky Star in the same sentence with a straight face? And considering Re-Mix 001, can you put the phrase “good remix” and Lucky Star together?

Yet more Lucky Star songs and Motteke! Sailor Fuku remixes. The first remix disc pretty much sucked, but JAM Project’s take on the song actually isn’t too bad. It just sounds better having the song sung by people who can sing instead of Hirano Aya et al. singing in their character voices (or close to them). JAM ga Mottetta! Sailor Fuku actually makes this disc worth listening to. The A-bee remix version, Motteke! Knee-socks, is also really good. It’s a toned down version of the song, which for me is a good thing. It’s just a whole lot more ear-appealing and tolerable than the original version of the song. Kumikyouko “Lucky Star Douga” is a remixed mesh up of a bunch of some of the previous character songs, some of Shiraishi Minoru’s songs, and some other stuff. It’s actually quite good, despite some of the silliest that comes out of it. I didn’t care for about 90% of the Lucky Star songs that were released, but hearing them mixed together in Kumikyouko was a nice way to condense and tone them down and remove the a lot of the annoying musical parts. It’s got Damatto Yasumi Jikan, Shiawase Negau Kanata kara, and Nenigede Reset! (the only character songs I liked) in there, so I can’t complain at all.

The other 3 tracks are forgettable in my opinion, but 50% awesome isn’t too shabby for a Lucky Star remix disc.

UPDATE: Crisu compiled a nearly complete list of the tracks that were mixed in Kumikyouko. Kudos for doing that!

  3. The JAM one was just okay for me, but I do love that last track very, very much. I like a whole lot of the individual character song albums, so this remix was just heavenly for me.

This is way better than Re-Mix001.

I tried breaking it down into its individual songs, but I’m short a few titles.
