And here comes D.C.II S.S. ~Da Capo II Second Season~

Merry Christmas folks!
The D.C.II S.S. acronym is officially coming out this upcoming spring to confuse people who are unfamiliar with or new to the Da Capo string of TV series. More periods, more tildes, and more Nanaka hopefully.
I went to bed, and this is what Santa left under the tree for me, courtesy of ANN–another sequel announcement… though this one was a bit more expected and the wait time between the two was close to none:
The media production company Starchild has announced that D.C.II S.S. ~Da Capo II Second Season~ school romance anime will premiere on Japanese television in April. This will be the fourth Da Capo anime season based on the D.C. ~Da Capo~ adult visual novel franchise from the CIRCUS software developer, after the first D.C. ~Da Capo~ series, D.C.S.S. ~Da Capo Second Season~, and D.C. II: Da Capo II. The last episode of D.C. II: Da Capo II’s first season aired this week on December 24.
The official site has already pre-announced the release of all five of D.C.II S.S.’s DVD volumes, complete with the caramel boxes, school calendars, and miniature character stand-ups that are bundled with the limited editions. (The 13 episodes of the first season of D.C. II will also have five DVD volumes, along with a volume 0.)

For as much as I love the Da Capo series, like Louise and Saito, this is falling under the “wait and see” category. I haven’t watched the final episode of Da Capo II yet, but I’ve read enough about what happened to almost not care to watch it. I did snag the raw last night with full intention of skimming through it, but after skimming through the subs for episodes 1-8 to refresh my memory of what I had already watched, I decided against it. I kept wondering what all the boring touching Koko moments were for, just to get the open-ended ending that was given. Even now with this official announcement for a season 2, I’m more hesitant than curious. The hesitation part comes from knowing that I pretty much wasted my time watching the first 8 episodes subbed (though anytime Nanaka was on screen was pure bliss) and wasted more time waiting for the rest of the series to eventually come out. The curiosity part come from, of course, what is the Da Capo II anime’s real ending? For all the “Wow, that sucked” or “I don’t care if it’s not Nanaka” thoughts in my head, I still am curious where they’ll go with this.

If anything, I can hope for a Nanaka ending. One can hope, right? If Kimi ga Nozomu Eien can get get an alternate world, why can’t a Shirakawa win in the end? One can hope… One can dream…
Let us all make New Year’s Day wishes that D.C.II S.S. doesn’t produce another Aisia.

I wasn’t really into D.C II, I was just watching it to see HOW the Koko and Yoshiyuki deal was going to be resolved…but I got shot down and was given a Minatsu ending instead. {Though I like Minatsu, I wanted a real ending.}
D.C II S.S better have the closure I was looking for!! >_<
But I wonder if it’ll go the Koko route, or the original route {it’s Otome right?}, or if it’ll just give us some random ending to displease us all…Yume I fear you might be hated!!

Six words: Da Capo II ~Imaginary Future~ manga.
In a nutshell, “what if Yoshiyuki grew up with Nanaka instead of the Asakura sisters?”.

Does another Da Capo second Season mean that we are getting more Aishia than anybody can stand?
