On the 12th day of Christmas…

Christmas Eve and boredom ensues! Nothing but a chill evening for myself. A few beers, a bag of chips, and ridiculous number of episodes that I need to catch up on before I can legitimately make an attempt to write a “best of 2007″ post next week. Be safe everyone! Happy holidays from Tea Shop BeLoved!
On the 12th day of Christmas my true love gave to me…

12 combat cyborgs: We learned German in A’s, so we should all now know how to count in Italian after StrikerS.

(Only) 11 episodes of Moyashimon: I need more Hazuki and Aoi goodness NOW! Seriously, how did this only get 11 episodes? There is so much potential for a full 26.

10 cheerleaders: Motteke!

9 principle members of the Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture: Well, the original president was around somewhere and there was Keiko… but 8 members plus Kucchi makes 9.

8 shugo chara so far: In the anime that is (and as far as I’ve watched it)… If a spinoff series was created for Nadeshiko, would you watch it? I would.

7 star drops collected: …and a great song from Utatsuki Kaori to boot. Who knew lambs and spoons would work together in a mahou shoujo school-life romantic comedy game adaptation harem series?

6 undines to look forward to: With Sketchbook over, it’s time to revisit Neo-Venezia! How I’ve missed those gondolas.

5 kendo girls: Warriors of Justice! Red, Yellow, Pink/Black, Blue, and Green! Though it took Green way too long to hop on board. (BTW this has to be one of the greatest images I’ve seen stumbled upon in a long time)

4 high school art students: X^______^X

3 original Sky Girls: Eika managed to stay at a constant level of awesome even when the boring “Let’s shift the focus to Elise” episodes aired.

2 mermaids: The best of the Momoi Halko and Nogawa Sakura pairings during 2007. They made for a romantic summer indeed. Let’s pretend Barbie never happened.

1 Shirakawa Nanaka: Pink made of the finest WIN, AWESOME, and EPIC since the last great Shirakawa graced us with her presence.

…and 1 Katsura Hinagiku: More pink made of the finest WIN, AWESOME, and EPIC because it’s my list and because Hina-chan rules.

ZERO!: Buy 2 large 1-topping pizzas and order of bread sticks and get a pair of rollerblades. Buy 3 pizzas at regular price and get a free Cheese-kun. Four pizzas gets you an autographed copy of Table Humping for Dummies.

The Bamboo Blade image cracked me up. Merry Christmas. One wonders how table humping needs to be simplified.

@DQ: I took me awhile be watch the final 2 episodes of Nanatsurio Drops, so a lot of the details from the earlier part (collecting the drops) weren’t fresh in my mind.
@tim: It didn’t take me too long actually, but I struggled with 8, considering that it’s not entirely accurate. But I couldn’t think of anything from the past year that had 8 of them. Happy Holidays to you as well.
@animanachronism: Yeah, that Bamboo Blade image was truly awesome. When I was browsing around for an image to use, I saw that and literally cheered because it fit this post PERFECTLY! As for table humping, perhaps Nina has a special technique she uses.
