So Long 2007! Happy 2008!

Just a quick Happy New Year’s greeting to the anime blogsphere! I still have about 10 hours left in 2007, but I wanted to say something as the rest of the world approaches 2008 (or already has).

Left with memories that I don’t want to forget

Back when the fall 2007 season started, I had no idea what to expect from ef. I went into it only expecting some high production value solely based on the people involved with it, but had no clue what I was getting into. Twelve episodes later, I’m walking away with memories that I don’t want to forget.

sola manga coming to North America

With ef – a tale of memories just finishing up, I had the sudden urge to revisit sola a bit. Although both series are entirely different beasts, I can’t help but get similar feelings from both, courtesy of Nanao Naru. Both series had this “artistic” aura about them, and in both cases, I was always awed by what I was watching from an audio/visual perspective and from a storytelling perspective. So I was pleasantly surprised to hear that the sola manga is making it’s way to the US.

Rosario + Vampire Promo 2

The official Rosario + Vampire site has a new trailer/commercial/promo/whatever up. It’s only about 25 seconds long, but it does have a snippet of Mizuki Nana’s upcoming 17th single and the Rosario + Vampire OP, COSMIC LOVE, which is out on February 6. It will also have Dancing in the velvet moon, which will be the show’s ED song.

Aria manga to end in early 2008

It really is sad news, but it’s not like Aria could have gone on forever.

Black-blooded nose bleed?

I could understand School Days getting the censorship treatment a few months back. but I never understood why Myself; Yourself received it also. Yes, suicide is a serious matter, but it’s not as if what was animated was overly gory. It’s not like blood was spraying out like a broken faucet or like blood from Sekai’s neck. But Bamboo Blade!?

They pulled it off! I don’t know how, but they pulled off a GOOD ending that not only made sense, but also left me with a lot of resolution and closure.

Good Lucky Star remixes… and JAM Project?

Can you even put JAM Project and Lucky Star in the same sentence with a straight face? And considering Re-Mix 001, can you put the phrase “good remix” and Lucky Star together?

And here comes D.C.II S.S. ~Da Capo II Second Season~

The D.C.II S.S. acronym is officially coming out this upcoming spring to confuse people who are unfamiliar with or new to the Da Capo string of TV series. More periods, more tildes, and more Nanaka hopefully.

Christmas Eve and boredom ensues! Nothing but a chill evening for myself.
