I wouldn’t say I’m blown away by Da Capo II, but for the most part it’s been entertaining me. Episode 3 not only gives Nanaka more than 1 line, but an insert song as well. Insert songs are a good, especially when they’re catchy and by a seiyuu who can actually sing. I guess that’s the results of shunning Chihara Minori for the first couple episodes. Quite the catchy song actually. Considering that it’s by rino (aka, CooRie), I’m not surprised it has that Da Capo feel to it. I’ll be on the look out for that song on an upcoming OST or single. The only way I can describe it would be it sounds like something off yozuca*’s album nico. or a more upbeat guitar-driven CooRie song… but then again, that’s what the majority of Da Capo stuff sounds like.
Yoshiyuki loses some points for not tuning that wannabe Fender Jaguar with harmonics. That’s just me though–harmonics or a digital tuner.
