There  are summaries all over the place for this episode if you want to know exactly what happened. I just went straight to the ending. The hybrid ending really had me cheering. Been nice knowing you Makoto, Sekai, and Kotonoha. Instead of just one ending, we get a mix of “To All My Children” (Sekai stabbing Makoto) and “The Bloody Conclusion” (Kotonoha slicing Sekai’s neck). After all that I figured they were just going to toss in “Eternally” by having Kotonoha jump off the school building, but what they had instead was probably even more creepy.

Cue up Itou Kanako’s Kanashimi no Mukou e…

Sekai shows us how to properly carve pumpkins for Halloween…

…and prepare the turkey for Thanksgiving.

After Kotonoha found Makoto’s dead body, she calls Sekai to school and shows her just why Makoto will be with her forever. Not a loli in the bag… A Makoto (head) in the bag.

Kotonoha: “Check out my new bowling ball bag! The plush interior is so soft”
Sekai: “Let me see!”

Sekai: -PUKE-
Kotonoha: Chu~

Oh how I have waited for this.

Sekai: “Shit.”

With Kotonoha, it’s not just about her great body…

…it’s her gushing personality too.

Better get some detergent on there. Chocolate stains.

That’s not Kyon’s imouto in there.

Sekai tried to kill Kotonoha, but instead the hacksaw makes it’s appearance. In the next scene we see a NICE BOAT in the middle of no where. Kotonoha is on the boat holding her boyfriend (or at least his head) and they sail off into the sunset.

f(O_o) Makoto was an extra in Claymore.

BAD END(s)

Fin.

One thing I have to wonder about what was edited in this episode other than the blood getting a color change. Makoto dying looked poorly animated (especially after he took the initial hit) considering that this is a FINAL episode and an important scene. Even when I was “ooo”-ing and “ahh”-ing, I thought, “Wow, that looks ugly.” While the flashbacks seemed appropriate, one has to wonder how many flashbacks were originally used in that scene. I guess we’ll just have to wait for the DVD version to really find out.

Unfortunately, overall, this ending doesn’t redeem the series in my eyes. Having 11 episodes build up to a nice ending is not the formula for a good series, which is what School Days was. Let’s recap School Days episode by episode:
